The New Oscar® Night

From pyjamas to evening gowns – anything goes at this year’s Oscar® Night at DFF with our motto “Dress code: No Dress code”. Once the stars start walking down the red carpet in their glamourous outfits in Hollywood, at DFF it will be all about spending a relaxed night among film fans.

10 p.m. – 2 a.m.: Oscar® Prediction Game

10:30 p.m.: Oscar®-nominated Short Films 2020

A selection of nominated short films guarantee the first great cinematic moments in short format of the year and make for an excellent starting shot to the race for the golden trophies. Don’t forget to cast your predictions!

11:45 p.m.: Oscar® Quiz

Is THE IRISHMAN (US 2019) the longest film to have ever been nominated? Joaquin Phoenix could win an Oscar® for his portrayal of the Joker – who has won the golden trophy for playing the same character? If you know the answers to questions like these or you are good at guessing, don’t miss our Oscar® Quiz shortly before midnight. Whoever has the right instinct and answers is a winner and can look forward to fantastic prizes.

1:00 a.m.: Red Carpet Show

2:00 a.m.: 92nd Academy Awards®

The big show finally starts at 2 a.m.: The winners of this year’s Academy Awards® will be announced in Hollywood and at the DFF the cinema audience get to witness the show live on the big screen.
