The vacation program of the Frankfurt museums, Fantasie verleiht Flügel (Imagination gives wings), offers a varied program for children between the ages of four and fourteen. The DFF offers two four-day workshops.
Shadow Play
Workshop at DFF
Is shadow really just the dark side of light? Shadows can be more: they can be threatening, mysterious, confusing, funny, or colorful. This workshop is about experimenting with light and shadow. Participants will create images with shadows, put them on a stage, and use them to create their own movie. At the end of the holiday, the results can be seen on the big screen in a private screening at the DFF cinema.

Film ab!
Together, the participants will explore the lives of Jewish directors, actors, and film producers who were the first to make films in the Federal Republic of Germany. Their fascinating stories can be seen in the exhibition at the Jewish Museum. At the DFF, participants learn how movies are actually made. They will record their experiences and discoveries in photographs, which are then used to create their own short documentary film.
