A guileless accountant from the eastern USA, who shot a man in self-defence, is pursued by bounty hunters in the forests of Arizona. Mortally wounded and accompanied by an indigenous man named Nobody, he becomes an outlaw and a legend while on the run. Jim Jarmusch creates his decelerated western with poetic and rugged images in black and white and a striking soundtrack by Neil Young as a metaphysical journey without return.
