For school classes and other groups, appointments can be arranged before 11 am at any time by calling 069-961 220 223 (Mon-Fri 10 am – 3 pm).

Christmas Eve, December 24: closed
First Day of Christmas, December 25: 11 am – 6 pm
Second Day of Christmas, December 26: 11 am – 6 pm
New Year’s Eve, December 31: closed
New Year, January 1: 11 am – 6 pm


The DFF – German Film Institute & Filmmuseum is accessible to visitors with mobility challenges, as well as those with strollers, through an elevator located at the right-side entrance of the museum. Elevators in the foyer provide easy access to all exhibition levels (1st to 3rd floors), the cinema in the basement, and the film workshop and workshop rooms on the 4th floor. A wheelchair and portable stools can be borrowed for your convenience during your exhibition visit. Wheelchair-accessible and all-gender restrooms are located in the basement and on the 4th floor. There is also a changing table available in the basement.
