The DFF – Deutsches Filminstitut & Filmmuseum has been doing pioneering work in the field of film education and outreach for years. As part of the committee ‘Filmbildung – Jetzt!’ (Film Education – Now!), founded in November 2015, personalities from business, culture and society have come together to support the educational work of DFF politically, socially, culturally and through the acquisition of funding. The committee is headed by the honorary chairman Volker Bouffier, former Minister President of Hesse, and the chairwoman, Anette von Zitzewitz. The Committe currently supports the following projects:
MiniFilmclub
At the MiniFilmclub we teach preschool children about film and familiarize them with avant-garde films, media history and cinema. Kindergartens from socially disadvantaged districts of Frankfurt take part in creative workshops and film programs at the DFF on eight mornings.

The film club “Blickwechsel – Jetzt!” enables unaccompanied underage refugees to meet once a month with Frankfurt students at the DFF to watch films, eat and talk together or even make small films themselves.
