LEIF IN CONCERT, VOL. 2
Lene works as a barmaid in an old jazz bar. During a trip she met the musician Leif and invited him to Germany for a concert. But some things are going differently than expected and the realization of the concert seems more and more questionable. LEIF IN CONCERT, VOL. 2, conceived as a declaration of love for pub culture, traces a typical pub evening with a special eye for the many little stories, the conversations of the regulars and music in a dim atmosphere.

Christian Klandt was born 1978 in Frankfurt/Oder. He was a founding member of the Berliner Theaterdiscounter. From 2004 to 2011, he studied directing at the Konrad Wolf Academy of Film and Television in Potsdam-Babelsberg (now Film University) and made numerous short and medium-length films that have won many awards. His highly acclaimed feature film debut WELTSTADT (2008) was presented at the MoMA in New York and was screened at over 40 film festivals. LEIF IN CONCERT – VOL. 2 celebrated its premiere in 2019 at the Munich Film Festival and was awarded the Förderpreis Neues Deutsches Kino.

The monthly series “Was tut sich – im deutschen Film?” (“What’s New in German Cinema?”) is dedicated to current German cinema.
