In 2009, an ad appears: Pedi and Anny are looking for a sperm donor. This family story begins with the two women’s great desire to have children. At a time when the image of the family was mother, father and child, their dream came true with Eike. With their donor, they have three sons. In her documentary MUTTER MUTTER KIND: LET’S DO THIS DIFFERENT, filmmaker Annette Ernst follows the lesbian couple for more than 13 years. The film succeeds in making sensitive observations without losing sight of the social context.
