The exhibition presents materials from the director’s personal estate as well as loans from international museums and private collections. Most of the exhibits come from Kubrick’s extensive archive. In 2003, staff members of the Deutsches Filminstitut & Filmmuseum catalogued the previously largely inaccessible collection at Kubrick’s home and workplace near London to make it accessible to the public.
