Verónica works as a prostitute in the Costa Rican capital San José, where she leads a lonely life despite a few friendships. She witnesses a young homeless man, Tato, being injured in an accident and takes him home. Suddenly confronted with the challenge of being a mother figure, Verónica not only has to learn to care for others, but also has the painful experience of letting go.
ABRÁZAME COMO ANTES was presented at the 5th Días de Cine film festival in 2017. A video of a film talk in Spanish with director Jurgen Ureña recorded at the DFF in November 2017 is available below.
