At the second edition of ‘Remake. Frankfurter Frauen Film Tage (Remake. Frankfurt Women’s Film Days), we show all films by the Frankfurt film activist Ella Bergmann-Michel (1895-1971).
In Ella Bergmann’s work, internationality, social thrust, and the autonomy of the material merge productively with the concept of the New Frankfurt. The programme shows early films by Bergmann-Michel as well as by Paul Wolff, Jonas Geist and Joachim Krausse.
On January 29th, we show all films by Ella Bergmann-Michel in their newly digitized version (2K-DCP), followed by a talk with Sünke Michel and Thomas Worschech (DFF). Click here for more information.
