In the 1970s, Harun Farocki made short films for the children’s programme of West German television, often in collaboration with Hartmut Bitomsky.

The films are observations of the world and focus on the magic of reality. Sometimes subtle, sometimes playful, sometimes with children as main actors and narrators, sometimes purely observing, the films tell of ships, bridges, stones, pneumatic hammers, production and division of labour.

Following the film screening, all children are invited to take part in a creative action on the films themselves.

Suitable from 5 years and older

Moderation: Anna Faroqhi, Haim Peretz (Berlin)

The screening is part of the series “Großes Kino, kleines Kino” of the Arsenal Filmatelier and funded in the framework of the “MiniFilmclub bundesweit!” project by the Kulturstiftung des Bundes.
