EREN portrays a woman who has been fighting for basic rights and peace in Turkey for over 30 years. As a lawyer and human rights activist, Eren Keskin is one of the leading figures and plaintiffs for women’s, LGBT and minority rights, against torture and sexualized violence. Her strong sense of justice knows no taboos and shakes the foundations of the Turkish state. Now she herself is being accused and labeled an enemy of the state. With more than a hundred court cases, she faces the threat of life imprisonment. She doesn’t know how much time she has left in freedom. At any moment, she could disappear forever behind bars.
