The series SPIEL.DOK presented by DFF in cooperation with the naxos.Kino feature films and documentaries related to specific topics in order to discuss those in more detail. Under the title Der Tod ist ein Meister aus Deutschland (Death is a Master from Germany), naxos.Kino will be showing the documentary VOM TÖTEN LEBEN on their premises on Tuesday, 3rd of September, 19:30. Two days later, on Thursday, 5th of September we will present the Grimme Prize-winning feature film MEISTER DES TODES at our cinema at DFF. Both screenings will be followed by moderated discussions with guests.

MEISTER DES TODES
Peter Zierler works for the weapons manufacturer HSW in a tranquil little town in southwest Germany. The company engages in business with more than dubious customers and when Zierler witnesses a young demonstrator in Mexico being shot with an HSW rifle, he decides to open up about the company’s practices.

After the screening, film critic Rudolf Worschech (epd film) talks with director Daniel Harrich and author Jürgen Grässlin.
