CATASTROPHE. WHAT COMES AFTER THE END?

»Not the End?! THE ROAD As Postapocalyptical Dystopia«
Lecture by Dr. Jacob Lillemose,  Disaster Researcher (Copenhagen)

Recorded on January 9, 2022

On the way through a post-apocalyptic landscape, a father tries to reach the sea together with his son. Based on a novel by Cormac McCarthy, the film depicts a world marked by destruction and hopelessness, even cannibalism. In monochrome, gloomy images, the atmospheric allegory impressively laments the loss of humanity in existential borderline situations.
