filmspielplatz.de is a free film education platform for children, daycare centers, schools and families. filmspielplatz.de is a joint project of the DFF and the Deutsche Kinemathek – Museum für Film und Fernsehen, Berlin.
The platform encourages children to watch a selection of short films from various genres as well as newly produced instructional films on how to make their own films. Inspired by these films, they then become active and creatively engage with what they have seen. Some films are accessible and available in several languages.
