Mathieu plays the piano in a Paris train station concourse. The director of the Paris Conservatoire becomes aware of him and scents a chance to finally win another prize as a school at the upcoming international piano competition. He makes sure that Mathieu, who was convicted of burglary, has to do community service at the conservatory instead of a prison sentence. Classical music becomes a way out of the social hotspot.
