Frankreich/Belgien 2017. D: Yvan Attal
95 mins. Recommended for age group 14+
Neïla is late on her first day of study. Professor Mazard, an irascible cynic who has fallen out of time, sharply attacks the Arabic-born freshman in front of all her fellow students and makes racist remarks. The quick-witted Neïla stands the attack bravely, but Mazard’s misstep threatens to cause a scandal at the university. To calm the situation down, the professor is to show his good will and prepare Neïla as a mentor for a renowned rhetoric competition. (schulkinowochen-hessen.de)
