In South Africa in the 1960s, three women of different origins loved the same man, who is in prison. Each offers him a different opportunity to be rescued. Named after Aimé Césaire’s collection of poems, MIRACULOUS WEAPONS follows the doubts and metaphysical quest for freedom of a man sentenced to death. Bekolo wanted to create a “true anthem of life” as a manifesto for the abolition of the death penalty in the world.
