Specials – August 2019

In August, the DFF cinema in cooperation with naxos.Kino shows the film WACKERSDORF followed by a film talk. In cooperation with the Frankfurt Psychoanalytical Institute, we show the documentary film PIONEERS OF GROUP ANALYSIS, followed by a discussion with directors Wilhelm Rösing and Marita Barthel-Rösing. In our Kino & Couch (Cinema & Couch) series, we present JE T’AIME, JE T’AIME followed by a critical and psychoanalytical commentary. In the series “Was tut sich – im deutschen Film?”, director Ilker Çatak presents his film ES GILT DAS GESPROCHENE WORT. We screen ORAY as part of the project “Intercultural Film Education” in cooperation with bpb, Vision Kino and the Austrian Film Museum, followed by a discussion with the film’s producer Bastian Klügel. The special exhibition “Bengal Stream” currently on show at the Deutsches Architekturmuseum will be accompanied by two screenings, one of them featuring director and actor Adam Dawla.
