Die Brand With the Mouse – The Disney Brand
Panel Discussion and Film
Disney is not just a name. It is also a global brand and the largest entertainment media company. Film students Isadora Paiva, Moritz Hingott and Gabriel Häusler, who completed the seminar “21st Century Disney” with Prof. Dr. Vinzenz Hediger in the winter semester 2019/2020, will tell entertaining stories about the corporate development of the Disney Studios with opportunities for questions and discussion with the audience.
Dumbo, der fliegende Elefant. USA 1941. D: Ben Sharpsteen and others. 35mm. German language version.
Circus elephant Dumbo and son of Miss Jumbo gets his name because of his oversized ears. However, while they are annoying, they also give the little elephant a unique talent: Dumbo can fly! In the ring he performs breathtaking feats alongside the clowns and becomes a permanent member with his own acts. He finds a friend in the circus mouse Timotheus… We present a historical and authentic Technicolor print in the rarely seen German first dubbed version.
Further film screening: The film (without panel discussion) will be shown again on Friday, 28.08. at 2:30 p.m.
