He came, saw and quacked – Donald Duck’s German Voice
The most famous drake in the world speaks German! Dubbing actor Peter Krause has been lending his voice to Donald Duck for over 30 years. Together with the musical all-rounder Udo Schöbel, who among other things creates the songs of the famous German television program «Die Sendung mit der Maus», Krause inspires with all sorts of important and funny things in a colorful programme featuring Disney’s famous cartoon character – and even “becomes” a duck live. A programme with a lot of music and lots of film clips for everyone who always wanted to know how to speak like Donald.
The exhibition The Sound of Disney. 1928-1967
Our special exhibition The Sound of Disney. 1928-1967 presents the sound world of Disney classics from August 7, 2020, through January 10, 2021. The exhibition explores the use of music, sounds and dialogues in the original films as well as in the various dubbed versions. It focuses on the period from the short Mickey Mouse cartoons and films from the popular SILLY SYMPHONIES series from the 1920s and 30s to the feature-length masterpieces created during Walt Disney’s lifetime (1901 – 1966): from SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS (US 1937) to THE JUNGLE BOOK (US 1967).
